Isaiah 55:6-7

6. Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

7. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Greetings, precious soul,

Life can be overwhelming. We work, engage in business, and chase after new opportunities. But life also brings uncertainty, struggles, and temptations. As we hurry from one thing to another, we keep searching for more. In all this busyness, one question remains: are we really seeking God? Do we listen to His voice calling: ‘Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near?’

In Isaiah, we find a call that asks for your attention in the midst of life’s noise: ‘Seek the Lord while He may be found’ God tells us to seek Him and shows us His wonderful invitation.

‘Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.’ (Isaiah 55:1-2).

God’s grace cannot be bought with money or things. No, He invites us to come with nothing. The LORD gives this grace, and it is found only in His only Son. The picture of water, wine, and milk given for free shows how rich and satisfying God’s grace is.

‘Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people. Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.’

But how can we find the grace of the LORD? The answer is in Isaiah 55:3: ‘Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live.' God’s grace is available to all who repent and believe the Gospel.

The contrast in verse 2 is clear: people spend their time and resources on things that do not satisfy their souls. Only God’s Word and grace bring true fulfillment. ‘Hear, and your soul shall live’—this is the main message. Not personal merit, but God’s promise and grace make the covenant eternal.

It doesn’t matter where you come from, what your life is like now, or what you’ve been through. His grace is plentiful. He waits with open arms for everyone who turns to Him.

Perhaps you struggle with the thought: ‘Can God still accept me? My sins are too great.’ But the LORD says: ‘Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts’ Repentance means turning away from your old life and coming to God. He is a compassionate God, full of forgiveness for those who come to Him with sincerity.

Jesus Christ came to save, not to condemn. He gave His life on the cross so we would not be lost. He still calls to us today:

‘Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ (Matthew 11:28).

It’s a decision for today. Don’t wait, don’t put it off until tomorrow—come to Him today with open hands. Come just as you are and bring nothing. Turn away from your sinful ways and buy and eat, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring. Maybe your life is focused on money, status, or worldly security, but none of these can save your soul. Only Jesus Christ offers true peace and eternal life.

Take a moment and ask yourself: Am I living for myself or for God? Is my heart focused on temporary things or on eternity? Have I accepted Jesus as my Savior and King?

If you haven’t come to God yet, don’t wait any longer. Call on Him sincerely—God will not reject you. Christ says:

‘All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.’ (John 6:37).

Today is the day of salvation! Don’t wait any longer—come and live forever.
